Jean Bellair, a proud South Side Chicago native now living in the southwestern suburbs, brings a unique and multifaceted perspective to her writing. With 19 years of experience as an educator and a master’s degree in Reading and Curriculum Instruction, Jean possesses a rich foundation of knowledge. However, it is her journey as the mother of a child with Type 1 diabetes that deeply informs her work. Through her writing, Jean is dedicated to raising awareness about Type 1 diabetes and offering encouragement to children facing this condition, reminding them that they are never alone.
